Vanguard Sculpture Services is a full service art foundry. By full
service I mean we do it all, mold making from your original art,
enlarging of your scale model, bronze casting, fabrication,
installation, restoration, repair, patina and original art and design.
We produce museum quality castings by paying close attention to detail
and the use of the highest quality silicon bronze alloy and ceramic
shell investment. We frequently cast life size works but also do
smaller parts and larger monuments. If sand casting or alloys
other than bronze are needed, we have an off site facility which we
employ.
Our facility has 22,000 square feet of space conveniently located in
Milwaukee’s 30th Street Industrial Corridor. The building has 2 docks
with large truck access and a 5 ton overhead crane to handle all of our
lifting needs. If you need a place to enlarge your work we can
accommodate you by providing a space. We have been incorporated
since 1996 and the owners have a 21 year history of collaboration in the
bronze casting business. We service many artists throughout the
United States and Puerto Rico.
Vanguard’s entire staff is practicing artists who enjoy the challenges
of working with other talented individuals. Our mission is to reproduce
your intent with the most integrity possible.
If you have considered casting your work in bronze, or creating an
edition in which each piece is a finely executed piece of art, Vanguard
Sculpture Services can work with you to help you accomplish this.
Whether you work in wood, stone, clay, or other materials, there is a
way to design a mold of your original art. A mold is a tool used to
cast wax patterns that will be burned away as part of the lost wax
process. A bronze is then cast of your original art. An edition
allows you to sell your work more than one time; you control the number
of copies made and sold.
